Discounts at KAU: Achievement-Based Discounts

Talent and hard work deserve recognition. KAU has developed a comprehensive system of achievement-based discounts for those who not only study, but strive for success and win.

Participants of the republican olympiad “KAU Bilim Qyrany” who take first place in one of the four categories receive a 100% discount for the entire period of study. Second place provides a 50% discount, third place — 25%, and places from 4th to 10th — 15%. The only condition for maintaining the discount is academic performance with a GPA of at least 3.33.

High UNT scores also open up significant opportunities. Applicants who score 126 points or higher may study free of charge, receiving a 100% discount for the entire period of study, provided they maintain a GPA of at least 3.30. A score of 110–125 points provides a 50% discount, 90–109 points — a 25% discount for one academic year with a GPA of at least 3.30, and 80–89 points — a 15% discount with a GPA of at least 3.00.

Holders of the “Altyn Belgi” badge who score 100 points or higher on the UNT and have a certificate of secondary education with honors receive a 100% discount for the entire period of study, provided they maintain a GPA of at least 3.33.

Sports achievements are also highly valued at KAU. Winners and prize-winners of international competitions receive a 100% discount, republican competitions — 50%, regional and city competitions — 25% and 15% respectively, provided they maintain a GPA of at least 3.33.

For applicants who have won subject olympiads and scientific project competitions, the following discounts are available: winners of international olympiads receive a 100% discount, republican olympiads — 50%, regional olympiads — 25%, and city olympiads — 15%. The discount is valid provided that academic performance is maintained at a GPA of at least 3.33. Please note: the olympiad or competition must be included in the official list approved by the authorized body in the field of education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, or recognized by the university based on a separate decision.
