Visit of the GIZ Project Manager in Central Asia

Kazakh-American University hosted a guest lecture by Stefan Buchmayer, an expert in international cooperation and regional security and Project Manager of GIZ in Central Asia. The event was organized with the support of the Astana Diplomatic Club.

As part of the visit, KAU President Asylbek Isakhov met with the guest. The parties discussed prospects for organizing a series of guest lectures for students studying law, journalism, and international relations.

They also considered the possibility of launching a joint research project and involving the university in GIZ regional initiatives.

During the lecture, the speaker discussed international measures aimed at preventing extremism and strengthening security, as well as the role of educational institutions in building resilient communities.

Students showed particular interest in practical examples from Stefan Buchmayer’s professional experience.

The lecture was held in an open dialogue format, with students actively asking questions and discussing international aspects of modern politics and diplomacy.
