New Opportunities with a Swiss University

An online meeting was held at Kazakh-American University with representatives of the Swiss School of Business and Management in Geneva (SSBM Geneva). The meeting was attended by Mia Simcox, Dean of the partner institution, and Olesya Meskina, Head of Academic Programs, as well as KAU President Assylbek Issakhov, Vice President Dauren Dyussebayev, and Director of the Department of International Cooperation Arailym Nurmasheva.

During the discussions, the parties explored key areas of collaboration, including the launch of intensive courses and immersion weeks in Geneva. This initiative will provide KAU students with a unique opportunity to engage in an international academic and business environment, visit headquarters of global companies and organizations, and obtain European-standard certificates.

Special attention was given to expanding research collaboration. The parties plan to join efforts in conducting joint research in the fields of sustainable development and modern management technologies.

As part of the meeting, SSBM Geneva representatives introduced a range of innovative educational modules under consideration for integration into KAU’s academic programs. These include leadership development programs in international relations with internships at UN offices, as well as courses in artificial intelligence and eco-technologies.

Following the meeting, both sides confirmed their readiness to further strengthen cooperation, with the signing of a memorandum of understanding expected in the near future.
