Kazakh-American University and the National Payment Corporation signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of financial technologies

Kazakh-American University (KAU) and the National Payment Corporation (NPC) have signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at developing the “Financial Technologies” program.

This partnership opens unique opportunities for students, including participation in educational events with NPC experts, internships, collaboration with global fintech leaders, and involvement of NPC specialists as program lecturers.

The “Financial Technologies” program was first launched in September 2024. The first cohort of students has already begun gaining the knowledge and skills needed to become leading professionals in the fintech industry.

During a panel session at the Central Asian Venture Forum, KAU Managing Partner Alina Abdrakhmanova presented the university’s educational initiatives and Yassa projects. Special attention was given to the first bachelor’s degree program in financial technologies in Kazakhstan.

In addition, KAU is actively developing international cooperation in fintech. The university is currently in talks with Visa to provide students with opportunities to learn from leading industry professionals and gain international experience.
