KAU Students Participate in Educational Seminars at the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange

On October 7 and 9, students of Kazakh-American University (KAU) visited the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), where they attended seminars on financial literacy, investing, and personal finance management as part of the international Ring the Bell for Financial Literacy 2026 initiative.

On October 7, a seminar titled “How to Make Informed Investment Decisions” was held, featuring Zhanna Kashenova, Executive Director of the Educational Projects Department at Freedom Finance Global Plc, as the speaker.

Participants explored the fundamental principles of investing, methods of risk assessment, and approaches to analyzing financial information. Particular attention was given to investment psychology, the influence of emotions on decision-making, and ways to avoid impulsive actions during market fluctuations.

On October 9, the program continued with a session titled “Investment or Scam? How to Avoid Losing Money in the Digital Age.” Pavel Ryzhkov, Treasury Director at KMF Bank JSC, discussed financial security, the risks of digital fraud, and practical ways to protect personal funds.

Students also took part in a guided tour of KASE. Abylai Syzdykov, Ph.D., Director of the KASE Academy, introduced them to the exchange’s operations and explained how Kazakhstan’s stock market functions.

The seminars provided students with valuable practical knowledge from industry experts and a deeper understanding of modern investment instruments.

KAU continues to strengthen its cooperation with financial sector professionals, offering students opportunities for professional development and firsthand exposure to the operations of leading organizations in Kazakhstan.
