KAU Strengthens International Cooperation with China: Delegation from Qingdao Visits the University

On October 14, 2024, the Kazakh-American University (KAU) hosted a delegation from Qingdao, China. The delegation included representatives of the SCO Technology Transfer Center and leading companies specializing in infrastructure and digital development.

Established in 2020 under the initiative of Chinese President Xi Jinping, the SCO Technology Transfer Center serves as China’s official platform for expanding international cooperation in science, technology, economics, and education.

During the visit, representatives of Qingdao Municipal Space Development Group Co. and Hainayun IOT Technology Co., Ltd. expressed interest in cooperation with the International Educational Corporation, which includes KAU.

The university administration organized a campus tour, presented educational programs, and discussed future collaboration opportunities.

As a result of the negotiations, agreements were reached on internships, academic exchange programs, and opportunities for dual-degree education in partnership with Chinese universities.
