KAU Presents Its Digital Strategy at Profit Education Day 2026
How are universities evolving under the influence of artificial intelligence, and which technologies are shaping the future of education? These questions were at the centre of the international Profit Education Day 2026 conference, attended by representatives of Kazakh-American University (KAU).
Kalilallo Baitasov, Chief Information Officer (CIO) of KAU, delivered a presentation entitled “Digital Transformation of a University: Applying Artificial Intelligence Systems in Management, Research, and Education,” introducing participants to the KAU Digital University concept.
At the heart of this concept is a unified digital environment that brings together learning, research, university management, and student engagement. It represents a shift from isolated information systems towards a comprehensive digital ecosystem for the university.
Particular attention was also given to international technological cooperation. KAU participates in the Microsoft Elevate (Pathfinder), GitHub Campus Program, AWS Academy, and SAP University Alliances initiatives. The university is also expanding its partnerships with 1C and other technology companies.
An expert perspective on the future of education was presented by Azhar Nurmagambetova, Lead Researcher at KAU’s Department of Science and Innovation. She took part in the panel discussion “Education Today,” where, alongside representatives of leading universities, she explored the application of artificial intelligence in teaching and learning, the practical outcomes of AI implementation, and emerging approaches to higher education.
For KAU, digital transformation is about more than simply introducing new technologies. It is about creating an educational environment where students have access to modern tools, work with cutting-edge solutions, and develop competencies that are in demand in the international labour market.
Participation in Profit Education Day 2026 provided a platform for KAU to showcase its digital initiatives and exchange expertise with representatives of the education and technology sectors.
