KAU Joins AWS Academy, the Global Education Program by Amazon Web Services

Kazakh-American University (KAU) has officially been approved as an academic member of AWS Academy, an international education program developed by global technology leader Amazon Web Services (AWS). This initiative will enable the university to integrate advanced courses in cloud computing and artificial intelligence into its educational programs.

AWS Academy provides higher education institutions with authorized, ready-to-teach curricula designed to prepare specialists to work with complex cloud architectures. KAU’s inclusion in this global ecosystem is aimed at addressing one of the key challenges facing Central Asia — the shortage of qualified IT professionals — while preparing students for internationally recognized AWS Certified professional certifications.

Through this new partnership, KAU students and faculty will gain access to the following resources:

• Authorized learning modules: the curriculum covers areas ranging from fundamental concepts such as Cloud Foundations to advanced topics including Generative AI Foundations and infrastructure design through Cloud Architecting.
• AWS Academy Learner Lab: students will be able to work in AWS cloud sandbox environments, where they can design, test, and deploy real-world software solutions without additional costs.
• Professional development for faculty: KAU faculty members will have access to free professional development sessions and comprehensive support in preparing for and taking professional IT certification exams.
