KAU expands international cooperation: memorandum signed with Shanghai DianJi University

During the visit of the KAU delegation led by President Assylbek Issakhov, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed with Shanghai DianJi University (SDJU). The agreement formalizes the parties’ commitment to student exchange and the implementation of joint educational programmes.

The negotiations were held with University President Siyi Gong and the deans of the faculties of artificial intelligence, data processing, and international education. The parties discussed specific formats of cooperation and outlined the first steps towards building a long-term partnership.

Founded in 1953, Shanghai DianJi University has specialised in engineering and applied technologies for more than 70 years. One of the university’s distinguishing features is its practice-oriented approach to education, which enables students to work on real-world projects in the field of advanced technologies.

For KAU students, the partnership with SDJU creates opportunities to spend a semester studying in China and participate in joint projects at the intersection of artificial intelligence and engineering—fields that are shaping the global technology agenda.
