Consul General of Germany at KAU

Kazakh-American University (KAU) hosted a meeting with Matthias Kiesler, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Almaty. The event was organized jointly with the Diplomatic Club “Astana.”

As part of the visit, the guest met with KAU President Assylbek Issakhov. During the meeting, the parties discussed the importance of international academic dialogue, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, and the development of educational initiatives.

During the lecture for students, the speaker shared his experience of more than thirty years in public and diplomatic service. Matthias Kiesler spoke about the role of diplomacy in the modern world, the importance of cultural ties, and the promotion of the German language abroad.

The guest lecture became an important platform for exchanging views and broadening students’ understanding of international relations and diplomatic careers.
