CEO of South Korean company DefenseGlobal visits KAU

A meeting was held at Kazakh-American University between President Assylbek Issakhov and Hong Jin-sung, Chief Executive Officer of DefenseGlobal (South Korea). During the negotiations, the parties discussed various aspects of cooperation aimed at strengthening ties between the education systems of Kazakhstan and South Korea.

The President presented the university’s activities and key strategic development priorities, including the American Study Camp program. As part of this initiative, KAU students recently visited the United States, where they explored leading universities in the states of Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New York. The intention to expand the program’s geography by opening opportunities for study in South Korea was also highlighted.

The guest expressed gratitude for the warm welcome, confirmed openness to cooperation, and proposed several areas of collaboration.

Particular attention was given to the development of double degree programs and academic mobility, including the organization of short-term educational visits and internships in the technology sector. Plans to launch new academic programs in the fields of information technology and computer science were also discussed.

Following the meeting, both sides expressed mutual interest in further developing the partnership and implementing joint educational initiatives.
