Applications are Open for the “Reading Point” Student Literary Club
Kazakh-American University has announced enrollment for the “Reading Point” student literary club dedicated to thoughtful reading, discussion of literary texts, and the development of analytical thinking.
The club is designed for students interested in classical, contemporary, and Kazakh literature, as well as the practice of slow reading.
Within the club, participants will read and discuss works from different literary movements, learn to express their opinions with аргументation, explore the basics of literary analysis and criticism, and develop their own reading perspective.
To participate, students must pass the selection process and submit an essay application of up to 500 words. The essay should include motivation for participation, literary interests, reading and cultural experience, willingness to engage in thoughtful reading, and personal views on the role of literature in shaping worldview.
Applicants should also include their year of study, major, and current phone number.

The first meeting of the literary club will take place on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at 5:30 PM.
The list of selected students will be announced on January 30. All selected participants will receive invitations to a dedicated Telegram channel for further communication and updates.
The “Reading Point” literary club will become a space for meaningful dialogue about literature, exchange of ideas, and the development of reading culture within the university community.
