A Guest Lecture on “Kazakhstan and Nuclear Non-Proliferation” Was Held at KAU

On November 11, Kazakh-American University hosted a guest lecture by diplomat and advisor to the Director of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Dastan Yeleukenov.

The topic of the meeting was “Kazakhstan and Nuclear Non-Proliferation.”

During the lecture, the speaker presented the historical, diplomatic, and political aspects of Kazakhstan’s decision to renounce its nuclear arsenal, as well as the importance of the country’s position in strengthening global security and promoting international nuclear non-proliferation initiatives.

Special attention was given to Kazakhstan’s role as a responsible and consistent member of the international community promoting peace and stability.

Students had the opportunity to ask questions, discuss modern non-proliferation challenges, and learn about Kazakhstan’s current approaches to building a secure global order.
