KAU Discusses Prospects for Cooperation with Japanese Education Expert Koki Shimazu

The leadership of Kazakh-American University (KAU) met with Koki Shimazu, a Japanese education expert, entrepreneur, and visiting associate professor at the University of Yamanashi Prefecture. The visit was organized with the support of the international education center Newton Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed potential areas of cooperation in education, English language teaching, and the development of joint educational initiatives. Particular attention was given to the exchange of international expertise, modern approaches to teaching, and possible formats of collaboration involving students and faculty.

Koki Shimazu is an expert in English language teaching and educational entrepreneurship. He holds a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics and a CELTA qualification. In 2017, he received the Pearson ELT English Education Teacher Award for his innovative approaches to teaching. He is the author of more than 25 books and educational projects.

The meeting marked the first stage of discussions on potential areas of cooperation. Both parties expressed their interest in continuing the dialogue and exploring specific formats for future collaboration.
