KAU Hosts Influencer Academy Kazakhstan Training

The Influencer Academy Kazakhstan: Freedom 250 training program was held at Kazakh-American University. The event was dedicated to the 250th anniversary of American independence and brought together young bloggers and digital content creators from Almaty.

The event was organized by the National Alumni Network with the support of the U.S. Consulate General in Almaty and Spirit of America. Kazakh-American University welcomed Erika Kuenne, a Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Department of State, and Mirambek Kamalov, Head of the National Alumni Network, as distinguished guests. NAN representatives Lyazzat Rakhimova and Anel Alis also participated in the training.

The program lasted more than six hours. Participants did more than attend lectures: they explored how modern digital content is created from the inside. The three core sessions were led by Zhomart Aralbayuly, a media trainer and digital content specialist. They covered the art of storytelling, the intricacies of filming and editing, and the logic behind the algorithms that influence the reach and visibility of every video.

Special attention was also given to responsibility. The organizers integrated ethical considerations into the structure of the sessions alongside practical skills. The highlight of the day was a workshop during which participants immediately put their newly acquired knowledge into practice. The event concluded in an informal atmosphere with a group photo and an exchange of impressions over coffee.

For the university, participation in the project is part of a broader mission to promote media literacy among young people and support initiatives aimed at the professional development of students and young professionals in Almaty.
