KAU Graduates a New Generation of Qualified Professionals

On June 30, one of the most significant events of the academic year took place on the grounds in front of the main academic building of Kazakh-American University — the solemn graduation ceremony for the Class of 2026. On this day, bachelor’s degrees were awarded to graduates in International Relations, Translation Studies, Journalism, Tourism, Finance, and Law.

The ceremony opened with a video address by Sayasat Nurbek, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He congratulated the graduates and wished them confidence as they stepped into their professional lives, realized their full potential, and made a meaningful contribution to the development of the country. Warm words of congratulations were also delivered by KAU President Assylbek Issakhov and Akmaral Amirlanovna Maralova, a member of the Supervisory Board of the International Educational Corporation and a KAU alumna.

Among the distinguished guests of the ceremony were Mr. Baasandorj Bayaraa, Consul General of Mongolia in Almaty, and Mr. Matthias Kiesler, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Almaty. Their presence served as a testament to the university’s strong international reputation and growing global partnerships.

One of the special highlights of the ceremony was a vibrant musical performance by Uldana Tokshylyk, who gave the guests and graduates unforgettable moments of celebration.

The graduates themselves were also given the floor. Razia Gusmanova and Almas Serik shared sincere and heartfelt words filled with gratitude, hope, and aspiration for the future. Their speeches became one of the most touching moments of the ceremony.

The celebration concluded with a cherished tradition: the graduates joyfully tossed their graduation caps into the sky, symbolically marking the beginning of a new chapter in their lives.
