International Summer School at KAU: How the First Day Went

The first day of the International Summer School, “Diplomacy of the Future: International Relations in the Digital Age”, started at Kazakh-American University. The program began with an introduction to the KAU campus, followed by the official opening ceremony of the school.

The key event of the first half of the day was a three-hour lecture session. Leading experts in diplomacy and international relations introduced the participants to the main topics of the program, outlined the key challenges of the digital age, and created a space for professional discussion.

The second half of the day was dedicated to exploring the city. Participants visited the Central National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, where they had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the country’s history and culture. A city tour also allowed them to see the southern capital from a new perspective.

The day concluded with team-building activities at KAU. This format brought together representatives of universities from seven countries and laid the foundation for open communication and professional interaction throughout the week.

The International Summer School will continue until June 28. Ahead, participants will have new lectures, master classes, meetings with representatives of the diplomatic corps and international organizations.
