KAU and Almaty Hub Signed a Memorandum of Cooperation
On May 25, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Kazakh-American University and Almaty Hub, a branch of the Astana Hub Corporate Fund.
The document is aimed at developing partnership in education, digital technologies, innovation, and the training of highly qualified specialists for the IT industry. The memorandum was signed by Assylbek Issakhov, President of KAU, and Aida Dussova, Director of Almaty Hub.
During the meeting, the parties discussed promising areas of cooperation. These include improving educational programs in line with the current requirements of the IT market, developing student startups, organizing internships and practical training for students, as well as holding joint educational, scientific-practical and project-based events.
The cooperation also provides for seminars, trainings, master classes, workshops and hackathons with the participation of IT industry representatives. Special attention will be given to the implementation of joint projects in digital technologies and innovation, the establishment of laboratories and competence centers, support for youth initiatives, and the development of students’ entrepreneurial skills.
The signing of the memorandum marked an important step in expanding practice-oriented education at KAU and strengthening the university’s ties with the IT ecosystem of Almaty.
