KAU AWARDS 2026: students who shape university life
Kazakh-American University hosted the KAU AWARDS 2026 ceremony, bringing together the university’s most active, talented and initiative-driven students. The event became a symbol of recognition for young people who, throughout the year, contributed to student organizations, creativity, sports, volunteering and the intellectual life of KAU.
The ceremony opened with a vibrant video featuring the best moments of university life: sports achievements, volunteer projects, creative performances and major KAU events. From the first minutes, the evening was filled with pride in the students and their contribution to the development of the university.
KAU President Assylbek Issakhov addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. He emphasized the importance of supporting student initiatives, leadership and the intellectual potential of young people. In the first block, awards were presented to representatives of the Diplomatic Club, Book Club, Speaking Club, debate club and student ministers of the faculties, who distinguished themselves in student self-governance, international activities and intellectual development.
The ceremony continued with the recognition of students representing the university’s creative and media areas. Dauren Dyussebayev, Vice President for Strategic Communications and Social Development at KAU, highlighted the role of student creativity and the information space in shaping the university’s image. Awards were presented to members of KAU BAND, the KAUZEN dance club, SG Media, KAU Media and KAU Ambassadors, who actively represent the university in the media space and career guidance activities.
Special attention was given to students who achieved high results in their studies and public engagement. KAU Dean Akbota Nurgaliyeva presented awards to top-performing students, as well as to members of ALLIANCE of Volunteers KAU, who implement social initiatives and contribute to the development of the university’s volunteer movement.
A musical performance by Uldana Tokshylykova became one of the highlights of the evening, creating a warm and inspiring atmosphere.
The final block of the ceremony was dedicated to students who represent KAU in sports, tourism and public activities. Awards were presented to the university’s volleyball, football and basketball teams, active members of the Taugashyk tourism club, student leaders, and dormitory representatives who help create a comfortable and friendly student environment.
KAU AWARDS 2026 became more than just an award ceremony. It was a true celebration of achievement, inspiration and student unity. The event once again confirmed that the main strength of the university is its students, their energy, initiative and desire to make university life brighter and more meaningful.
