Lecture on the Impact of AI on the Professions of Translator and Journalist
A guest lecture by Olzhas Galymzhan, founder and CEO of KazConference Group, was held for students of the Kazakh-American University. The lecture focused on the transformation of the professional environment under the influence of artificial intelligence.
Olzhas is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a degree in Economics and a Bolashak scholarship holder. Since 2018, he has been developing his own company in the field of conference services and simultaneous interpreting. He is currently implementing an ecosystem of intelligent solutions for automating business processes.
During the lecture, the speaker shared his professional experience – from working in an interpreting booth to developing an ecosystem of 11 AI agents covering key areas of business. Special attention was given to how the professions of translator and journalist are changing, as well as how work processes and professional requirements are being transformed.
Participants were presented with practical cases of using modern technologies in translation and media. The speaker also outlined the key skills needed to remain competitive in a rapidly changing labor market.
The lecture generated strong interest among students and became an important platform for discussing current trends in the communications industry.
