ALUMNI TALKS: From Student to Expert

On October 23, 2026, Kazakhstan-American University hosted an Alumni Talks session featuring KAU alumnus Stepan Shramko, who graduated from the International Relations program in 2011.

The session, titled “From Student to Expert: How Knowledge, Connections, and Reputation Shape a Successful Career,” brought together key topics related to professional development, career planning, and personal branding.

During the discussion, participants explored how university education can serve as the foundation for professional achievements, why continuous skills development is essential, and the role that professional networks and personal reputation play in building a successful career. Particular attention was given to opportunities for professional growth and the importance of making informed career choices.

The meeting gave students an opportunity to broaden their understanding of professional development prospects, gain valuable insights into career building, and see how their education can serve as a starting point for further professional growth.

Alumni Talks is a platform for open dialogue, experience sharing, and intergenerational knowledge exchange, bringing together KAU alumni and students. These meetings strengthen the university community and help students navigate their own professional paths with greater confidence.
