DISCOUNTS AND GRANTS

Tuition Support Programs

Kazakh-American University provides tuition discounts and grants to applicants and students based on academic, social, sports, and other achievements. Discounts are granted upon application and supporting documents in accordance with the approved regulations.

How to Get a Discount

To receive a discount, applicants and students must submit an application and a full set of supporting documents within the established deadlines. Applicants submit the application during admission by August 25, while students submit it by September 10 in the first semester or by January 15 in the second semester. The decision is made by a special KAU commission.

TYPES OF DISCOUNTS

ADVANCE TUITION PAYMENT

A discount is provided to applicants who pay 100% of the tuition fee in advance: 5% — for 1 year

DISCOUNT FOR FAMILY MEMBERS

A 10% discount is provided when several members of one family study at Kazakh-American University simultaneously. The discount is valid throughout the entire period of study while maintaining a GPA of at least 3.33.

DISCOUNTS BASED ON UNT SCORES

Kazakh-American University provides discounts and grants to applicants depending on their UNT results. The discount amount may be 15%, 25%, 50%, or 100%, subject to maintaining the required GPA.

DISCOUNT FOR IEC GRADUATES

A 20% discount is provided to graduates of the International Educational Corporation and affiliated educational organizations who continue their studies at Kazakh-American University. The discount is valid throughout the entire period of study while maintaining a GPA of at least 3.33.

ALTYN BELGI

A 100% grant is provided to holders of the “Altyn Belgi” badge with a UNT certificate score of 100 or higher. The grant is valid throughout the entire period of study while maintaining a GPA of at least 3.33.

SPORTS ACHIEVEMENTS

Kazakh-American University provides discounts and grants to winners and prize-winners of international, national, regional, and city-level sports competitions. The discount amount may reach up to 100% while maintaining a GPA of at least 3.33.

SUBJECT OLYMPIADS AND SCIENTIFIC PROJECTS

Discounts and grants are provided to winners and prize-winners of international, national, and regional olympiads, as well as scientific project competitions. The discount amount may reach up to 100% while maintaining a GPA of at least 3.33.

KAU Bilimdi Qyrany

Discounts and grants are provided to winners and prize-winners of the “KAU Bilimdi Qyrany” republican olympiad. The discount amount may be 15%, 25%, 50%, or 100% while maintaining a GPA of at least 3.33.

DISCOUNTS FOR PARTICIPANTS OF EDUCATIONAL CENTER OLYMPIADS

Discounts and grants are provided to winners and prize-winners of educational center olympiads held jointly with Kazakh-American University. The discount amount may reach up to 100% while maintaining a GPA of at least 3.33.

PERSONS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

A 20% social discount is provided to persons with Group I and II disabilities for the entire period of study while maintaining a GPA of at least 2.6

ORPHANS AND CHILDREN LEFT WITHOUT PARENTAL CARE

A 30% social discount is provided for the entire period of study at Kazakh-American University while maintaining a GPA of at least 2.67.

DISCOUNT FOR IEC EMPLOYEES

Employees of IEC and its educational organizations are eligible for a 30% discount, school teachers for a 30% discount, and executives for a 50–70% discount. The discount is valid for the entire period of study, provided that the student maintains a GPA of at least 3.33.
