Chairwoman of the Kazakhstan diplomats’ wives community at KAU

A guest lecture by Gulistan Khamzayeva, Chairwoman of the Kazakhstan diplomats’ wives community, educator, linguist, translator, writer, and artist, was held at Kazakh-American University. She has over 30 years of teaching experience, is fluent in five languages, and possesses extensive international experience.

The event was held with the support of the “Astana” Diplomatic Club, with which a Memorandum of Understanding was signed in January this year.

The lecture focused on cross-cultural communication. At the beginning of the session, students took part in an interactive game that helped engage them in the topic.

In the main part of the lecture, the speaker covered key aspects of cross-cultural interaction, including differences in communication styles, time perception, and business etiquette.

It is worth noting that Gulistan Khamzayeva had previously delivered a lecture at KAU, where she shared practical techniques for public speaking, including the “rule of three.”

The event attracted strong interest from students and became an important platform for developing their cross-cultural competencies.
