KAU Students Presented at the Final of the SCO Model
Students of Kazakh-American University took part in the final of the international educational game “Model of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization,” which was held in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
The event was organized under the auspices of the SCOLAR Network and took place at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic. The final stage brought together 22 delegates from Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan, representing various universities across the region.
KAU was represented by third-year International Relations students: Zlata Kalinovskaya, Milita Bukhman, Alina Mustafayeva, and Moldir Zhumat.
During the game, participants represented SCO member states and the organization’s structures, presented their positions on the model topic, discussed current issues of regional cooperation, and took part in debates and negotiation sessions.
As a result of the event, participants developed and adopted the Bishkek Resolution, reflecting the common position of all delegates.
KAU students demonstrated strong preparation, analytical thinking, and the ability to engage in well-reasoned dialogue. They represented not only KAU but also the Student Diplomatic Club, which was recently established at the university.
Participation in such educational projects contributes to the development of professional competencies among future specialists in international relations, expands academic and intercultural ties, and gives students practical experience in diplomatic interaction.
