Kazakh-American University hosted a lecture by Madzher Masanov, National Program Officer for Communication and Information at the UNESCO Regional Office in Almaty. The event was organized with the support of the Astana Diplomatic Club.

The guest lecture focused on freedom of expression and the issue of harmful content in the digital environment. The speaker discussed the international legal foundations of freedom of speech, the spread of disinformation, and the role of media and information literacy in building a sustainable digital culture.

The meeting was held in a lively dialogue format. Students actively asked questions about how to maintain a balance between freedom of speech and responsibility online, as well as ways to counter the spread of false information.
