Representative of the UN Department of Global Communications at KAU

Kazakh-American University welcomed Vlastimil Samek, Representative of the United Nations Department of Global Communications. As part of the visit, a meeting was held with KAU President Asylbek Isakhov, along with a guest lecture for students organized with the support of the Astana Diplomatic Club.

Mr. Samek has more than 30 years of experience in diplomacy and international communications. Previously, he headed the UN Information Office in Kazakhstan and served as Acting Director of the UN Information Centres in Indonesia and Pakistan.

During the discussions, the parties explored prospects for cooperation between the university and the UN system, including possible collaboration in education, innovation, and joint initiatives.

Both sides confirmed their interest in maintaining professional dialogue and further developing cooperation.

During the open lecture, the guest spoke about his work within the UN system and the specifics of diplomatic activity. The meeting was held in an interactive format, with students actively participating in discussions, asking questions about international careers, and receiving practical advice.
