The Director of the American Chamber of Commerce Visited KAU
Kazakh-American University hosted a meeting between KAU President Asylbek Isakhov and Jeff Erlich, Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Kazakhstan. As part of the visit, a guest lecture for students was also organized with the support of the Astana Diplomatic Club.
During the discussion, the parties explored possible areas of cooperation in education, science, and innovation, as well as the involvement of the business community in university projects.
The President of KAU thanked the guest for his visit and emphasized the university’s interest in developing cooperation with AmCham Kazakhstan. In turn, Jeff Erlich expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and confirmed readiness for further partnership.
Following the official meeting, an open lecture for students took place. The guest spoke about the activities of the Chamber of Commerce, mechanisms of interaction between business and government, and opportunities for professional growth.
Students asked questions about career opportunities, membership conditions within the Chamber, and current challenges in the international business environment.
The practical part of the event was held in the format of a business simulation game. Participants worked in teams representing different sectors of the economy and developed investment solutions based on a conditional budget.
After the presentations, the guest provided recommendations on structuring ideas and effective communication.
The meeting allowed students to gain insight into the work of the American Chamber of Commerce and the role of professional associations in economic development.
