Meeting with a Polish Diplomat

A meeting with Mieczysław Lapanowski was held for students of the Kazakh-American University. He is a diplomat, former Chargé d’Affaires of the Republic of Poland in Kazakhstan, adviser to the United Nations Development Programme in Kyiv, and an expert of European Union election observation missions in foreign countries.

During the meeting, the speaker shared his professional experience in diplomacy, international relations, and work with global organizations. Special attention was given to the role of diplomacy in developing relations between countries, as well as the importance of observation missions in modern political processes.

Students learned about the practical aspects of diplomatic service, work within the UN and European Union structures, and had the opportunity to ask questions and receive answers first-hand.
