KAU President Meets with First-Year Students
Kazakh-American University hosted a meeting between KAU President Assylbek Issakhov and first-year students. Held in an open dialogue format, the meeting gave freshmen an opportunity to communicate directly with the university administration and share their ideas, thoughts, and expectations.
During the meeting, Assylbek Isakhov spoke about the history and key achievements of KAU, the university’s mission and values, as well as its main development priorities. Particular attention was given to the opportunities available to students, including English-language education, an international academic environment, interaction with international faculty, participation in student clubs, community projects, and extracurricular activities.
Speaking about the role of students in university life, the President emphasized the importance of academic responsibility and integrity, initiative, and active engagement in the KAU community.
The meeting continued with a “Question to the President” session, allowing first-year students to address the university leadership directly and ask questions about academic mobility, the organization of the educational process, learning conditions, and other aspects of university life.
The event was also attended by Vice President for Academic Affairs Azhar Nurmagambetova, Vice President for Social and Educational Affairs Dauren Dyussebayev, the Deans of the Faculty of International Communications and Creative Industries and the Faculty of Business and Information Technologies, as well as other university staff members.
Such meetings are planned to be held on a monthly basis. Regular open dialogue will provide students with an opportunity to discuss current issues, share ideas, and maintain direct communication with the university administration. This initiative is an important part of fostering an open academic environment where students’ voices contribute to the continued development of KAU.
